First of all, thank you for your interest in our daycare center. I’d like to tell you a little about the history of the residence and the role I have the privilege of playing here. My name is Catharina Loiaconi, and I have been the owner of the daycare center since 2012. Starting in 2001, my husband and I ran a commercial business with multiple locations. In 2006, I got in touch with the staff at the Kidz Ahoy daycare center because they were able to help take care of my son. The care, attention, and love that these skilled professionals showed our children gave me a sense of freedom and confidence. My child was safe with them, and I was able to go to work with peace of mind. In 2012, I was ready for a new challenge. Then, suddenly, the daycare center my son had been attending went out of business. I felt it was my moral duty to the caregivers and to the children who visited them with so much love to breathe new life into this place. Thanks to my experience in the commercial sector, I quickly identified the company’s weak points. I have continued to work with the existing team with full commitment. The key aspects of my work are a customer-focused and flexible approach. I aim to implement a modern approach to personnel management that emphasizes independence and initiative. Hi, I’m Cheyenne, a mother of four who lives in Lelystad. I’ve been happily working in childcare since 2017. After the birth of my youngest daughter, I wanted to work closer to home, which is why I chose KidzAhoy. I’ve been working here since 2023 in the baby group with lots of love and joy. My name is Alie Allis. I completed my vocational training in Early Childhood Education 23 years ago. I’ve been working in childcare ever since. In the meantime, I’ve expanded my qualifications. I’m now also a student supervisor, a certified emergency response team member, a first-aid responder, and a pediatric first-aid responder. My hobbies include cycling, hiking in nature, and, of course, spending time with my grandchildren. As a teacher, I pick up where you, as parents and caregivers, left off in the morning. I care for and shower with love your little ones—who are, at the same time, your greatest treasures. So, after a period of adjustment and getting to know each other, it’s only natural that they’ll start to feel a bit like “my own children.” Together with the parents, I form a close-knit care team to bring out the best in your child’s development.

Hello Everyone, I’m Sharona, and I live in Lelystad with my partner and two children. I’ve been working at the Piratengroep since 2020. After working for the same organization for twelve years in places like De Bilt, Amsterdam, and Almere, it was time for something closer to home. I work on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. My name is Denise Grimm, and I’m a mother of two. I work at Kidz Ahoy in the baby group. Even back in middle school, I knew I wanted to work with children when I grew up. After I graduated from middle school, I enrolled in the SPW 3 childcare program, and then I completed the SPW 4 residential care program. During my training, I gained a lot of experience through various internships for substitute and summer work. After earning my SPW 4 residential care diploma, I was immediately offered a permanent position in disability care by the organization where I had completed my internship. I enjoyed working there for three years. However, my heart was set on childcare, so I eventually started applying for other jobs. I’ve been working in childcare for years now, and I still thoroughly enjoy it. I hope I can continue to do this for a long time to come, with joy and love, and that the children will have a fun and educational time at De Ketelbinkies, thanks in part to me.

My name is Toula Lemonaki. I am a childcare teacher with over 17 years of experience in childcare. Over the years, I have worked with various age groups, from infants to after-school care children. I currently work with the lively after-school care groups. I strive to help children be themselves around me by having fun and learning together. Of course, we also work in small groups, which allows children to help one another. Throughout the year, we come up with different themes and stories for the children. This helps them build their vocabulary and understand the world around them. At Kidz Ahoy, it’s always a blast—for the kids and for us too. My hobbies are music, movies, and vacations.

Hi, I’m Nanda Kok, and I live in Lelystad with my partner and young son. At Kidz Ahoy, you’ll find me in the office working alongside Catharina. My responsibilities include staff and child scheduling, policy development, and the educational aspects of our childcare center. My name is Thera, and I live in Lelystad with my husband and two children. I attended SGL and completed my training as a childcare provider in Zwolle. I finished my training in 1997, and since then I’ve been working in childcare with all my heart and soul. My hobbies include theater and spending time with my children. I’ve been working at Kidz Ahoy since 2012, and I really enjoy it. I work in the baby and toddler group, but you may also see me in the other groups.

Hello, I’m Annette Meegdes. I am married and have two sons. At home, I enjoy reading, coloring, and crocheting. I completed my bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education at InHolland University of Applied Sciences in Diemen-Zuid. After graduation, I worked for six years at an after-school care center in Lelystad-Haven. I then began working as a social pedagogical counselor, providing individual home-based support to children. I’ve been working at Kidz Ahoy since December 2015. I really enjoy working at the after-school care center. I pick the children up from their classrooms. They’re free to play and can choose from a variety of activities in the group. Here, they’re free to be themselves.
